Meet The Baker

This little bakery has been a dream of mine for some time. I grew up in a close-knit community on the coast of NY where baked goods are revered. I have been a connoisseur of good, chewy bagels and pastries since I could form a sentence. As kids, my Mom would pile us into the car on early weekend mornings. I can still remember pressing my cold nose against the piping-hot window at the bagel store and the invigorating whoosh of steam as the door would open, allowing the fragrant aroma of freshly baked bread to fill the air. The humidity was so high inside the store that my hair would begin to curl instantly. Mom would then usher us across the street to the bakery where we would select from a display case filled to the brim with every cookie, cake or pastry imagineable. As we made our selections, they were placed delicately into a crisp, white box and tied up tight with red + white swizzled string. This is such a glorious and comforting memory for me.

 

Baking has since become my true passion. Several years ago, I set out on a mission to learn every facet of making irresistible bagels, breads and baked goods, just like we used to buy at the specialty stores growing up back home. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to take a chance at building my own dream micro-bakery. It has become my life's purpose to bring authentic breads and bakery sweets to my neighbors across the upstate of South Carolina. My love language is food, and I pour my heart and soul into each item that I make. It is my hope that I bring joy and a bit of nostalgia to each person that sinks their teeth into one of my creations!
